I have never had major issues with learning. I knew that One Brain, is good for learning disabilities and was told that taking the second module, Basic One Brain, makes miracles with learning issues. I thought I didn’t have any.
Time went by and I started having problems with my German, with the pronunciation to be specific. It went so far that I wanted to give up German as a working language because I had more and more stress on speaking.
Than I had the idea: I will retake Basic One Brain in Germany. And I did it. All possible corrections came out. The class was lovely. Ursula Milderberger is a wonderful teacher. The class was so amazing that I completely forgot my fear of speaking and just talked to everybody. But that was the beginning. I came back home and I had an idea which I have never had before.
I could find a German speech therapist. When kids have pronunciation problems they go to a speech therapist. So I will do the same. I found a lovely speech therapist Hannah from Munich, online. She explained to me, what to look for, where to put my tongue and where not and several other things. Until then, my belief system was that either you get a good pronunciation in a foreign language or not, it’s a gift that you have or not. After the defusion, I understood that it’s a skill that you can learn. And when my stress was gone, I started having lovely jobs for German clients.
